The Manaslu Circuit Trek was my first trek in the Himalayas, and I honestly did not know what to expect. I had seen amazing pictures online, but standing among those giant mountains felt completely different. From the first day, I knew this adventure would stay with me forever. While planning the trip, I researched the best time to visit Manaslu because I wanted good weather and clear mountain views. I travelled during the spring season, and I was lucky to enjoy blooming rhododendron forests, fresh mountain air, and comfortable temperatures throughout the trek. The journey started with small villages surrounded by green hills. As we walked deeper into the mountains, everything became quieter. There were no busy roads, no city noise, and no stress. I felt completely relaxed as I listened to rivers flowing beside the trail.
One thing that impressed me was the kindness of the local people. Every village welcomed us warmly. Children smiled as we walked past, and the teahouse owners treated us like family. Sharing dinner with other trekkers every evening became one of the highlights of my trip. The higher we climbed, the more beautiful the scenery became. Massive snowy mountains surrounded us from every direction. Every turn on the trail revealed another incredible view. I stopped many times just to enjoy the landscape. The final climb was physically demanding, but reaching the high pass was one of the proudest moments of my life. Standing there with colourful prayer flags flying in the wind felt like a dream. Looking back, I realised the trek was about much more than reaching the destination. It was about enjoying every step, meeting wonderful people, and discovering the beauty of nature.
